Dastardly Bastardly Bailout (Senate Edition)

Big surprise here. The Senate, in a 75-25 vote passed a big-assed bill with shit thrown in just to get it passed. There's some good things, some bad things, and no reason not to come up with a clean bill. Senator McCain, Senator The Marxist (Obama), and Senator Biden all voted for it. Both of my shitass senators (Senator Voinovich (R) and Senator Brown(D)) voted for it. If you want proof that Washington is broken, you got it. From what I can tell, bipartisan must mean keep adding shit to a bill until you've bought enough votes.

However, 25 senators voted against it. Good for them. If one of these guys is your Senator, send them an email thanking them for trying.

Okay, why am I still against this "necessary" bailout? Well, here's the bill. Read the shit if you want to. But there's some tax cuts, handouts, pork, garbage, bullshit, horseshit, polar bear shit, and of course the actual "rescue" bill.

Where's the change, Senator The Marxist? Where's putting country first, Senator McCain?

This is why I'm proudly independent. Real change would have been a clean bill that didn't expand government, spend money, and not address the actual problem. The Senate has failed. President Bush doesn't know the meaning of the word 'VETO." I guess my hopes rest with the House.
