However, 25 senators voted against it. Good for them. If one of these guys is your Senator, send them an email thanking them for trying.

Okay, why am I still against this "necessary" bailout? Well, here's the bill. Read the shit if you want to. But there's some tax cuts, handouts, pork, garbage, bullshit, horseshit, polar bear shit, and of course the actual "rescue" bill.
Where's the change, Senator The Marxist? Where's putting country first, Senator McCain?
This is why I'm proudly independent. Real change would have been a clean bill that didn't expand government, spend money, and not address the actual problem. The Senate has failed. President Bush doesn't know the meaning of the word 'VETO." I guess my hopes rest with the House.
I need a drink. NUTS TO YOU!!!

What crappy news to wake up to this morning, I need a drink, too!
Or chocolate.
I agree, Patrick. This ticks me off big time too. You saw the earmarks in the bill listed on my post and many of them are totally ridiculous. Arrows for kids??? Rum??? Those two are just for starters! ARGH!
Beth: Have a mudslide. Chocolate AND liquor!
Gayle: Where's a good third party candidate when you need him? Oh well, I do have a US rep that I haven't absolutely decided on voting for. Better get him an email. Today.
