Random Collection of Thoughts

I spent a good chunk of blogging time watching George Carlin clips today. Were I able to deliver my words with such intensely intelligent vulgarity, I wouldn't feel compelled to blog as I do. I'd just podcast you to death. More to come....

There are three things that Obama needs to be wary of and McCain needs to use to win. First of all, Obama needs to not piss off the religious right. They are willing to sit on their hands and watch McCain burn, unless they feel threatened. Second, if Iraq goes well, but Americans feel threatened by terrorists, they'll go with the old war horse. If it's simply a make-fight war in the eyes of the public, they'll Vietnam Obama into the White House. And third, the person who can convince the American people that their energy plan will lower gas prices and not disrupt their lives in the process will most certainly win. Nobody gives a shit about global warming when they can't afford to maintain their carbon footprint.

I'm working on an energy plan for tomorrow's post that will be absolutely the best plan ever made. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a few things I've heard, and an idea where we need to go.

Also, in reference to my 7 questions for the candidates, "Why Should I Vote for You": I'd like to get those answered. But I want supporters of the candidate to do so, with my two cents added. I have someone in mind to ask the Obama opinion on, but I don't know anybody who really is backing McCain. I mean backing him with enthusiasm, not voting for him to keep Obama's ass out of the Oval Orifice. So if you know a blogger who knows the Moronic McCain Mantras, the email address is patrickmspeaks@gmail.com.

Finally, here's the reason that some of my posts meander like this, and why my home is never really clean (besides the fact I'm a lazy bastard by the time I get home).

Just be glad I sure as shitfire didn't let them have the keys....

Something I noticed when driving through Wisconsin the other day: I passed through a wind farm and noticed that some of the mills weren’t moving. Some, pointing in slightly different directions were moving but others were not. The one thing they were all doing was sitting in the sun 13 hours per day. Why cant the panels and poles on these mills be made of or have solar panels on them? That way, on windless days they are still doing something other than sitting there. Sure, it won’t do any good at night but if you can double your output during the day, when most people are running their ACs, then it seems like a slam dunk.

Also, why can’t shingles be made from solar panels or why can't roofs just be straight up solar panels?

That clearly doesn't do anything about the price of gas but I know what would and that's Hydrogen.

If coal plants and cars stopped polluting, I think most environmentalists would concede that the most abundant sources of CO2 had been eliminated and the amount generated by other industries wouldn't be enough to make a difference.

Currently Ethanol isn't the answer as corn is subsidized but don't believe the hype when people say if we use ethanol we won’t have any food left. We don't need the corn we grow; it’s used as cheap fillers which is making us fat.

Oh and all those sky scrapers exposed to the sun all day should all have solar panels up and down the building.

Those are good ideas, and I'll probably incorporate a couple of them.

Cute picture, but don't blink because it won't be long before they'll be asking for the keys and will be old enough to drive!

You hit a homerun in this post, I agree with you on all 3 of your points. You and I are pretty ticked off at McCain at this stage and are willing to possibly not vote for him. But if any of your points becomes a reality we might be a lot more motivated to pull the lever for McCain.

Well said!! This gives me an idea for the radio show next Monday. Thanks!!

You're not the only show I'm inspiring.

I was listening to Rush the other day, and he started covering points I had already blogged about.

I think he's secretly starting to use me for research.

You are da MAN, Patrick!

Beth: You're going to get my rampant egomania going here. Gotta stop that.

*Why can't da MAN get a woman?*

Ok, now I'm depressed and ready for more 2008 politics.

Patrick,
Great post and when you are thinking about posting a new energy plan, include airplanes. I mean, if we get off of bio fuels how are we going to fly? I think it will take longer to come up with airplanes that use electricity and bio-fuels than it will cars.
